Congressman Ron Paul sheds some light on the “Spending Freeze” that is being proclaimed by the Obama Administration.
Ron Paul:
“The power that be made the determination that some populace rhetoric was in order and the idea of a spending freeze in Washington was proposed albeit with several caveats.”
“These caveats to the proposed spending freeze insured that we are not at any risk of actually doing anything about the spending”
What are the caveats?
- The timing – Not in Effect until 2011
- 7/8 Spending is Exempt from cuts – (State Dept, Entitlements, Military-Industrial Complex, Foreign Aid)
- What is Targeted (Like Air Traffic Control Salaries)
