Yes, a funny AD from Audi… or was it?

(note the catchy tune to make the kool-aid taste better?)

See the next VID from ReasonTv and then decide…

Sept. 2009 the EU banned the sale of 100-watt incandescent light bulbs, with lawbreakers facing up to $70,000 in fines.

In the United States, similar legislation comes into play in 2012. Signed into law by Bush Dec. 2007 H.R.6: Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

The idea is to kickstart the market for compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), which use less energy than conventional incandescents.

The problems (aside from tyranny):

  • Long Warm-up
  • Longevity Issues
  • Increased Cost
  • On/Off Limits Longevity
  • Mercury
  • Electronic Interference
  • Limited Uses
  • Inferior Light
