Former President Fidel Castro met with three members of the United States Congress in Havana on Tuesday, his first known meeting with American officials since he underwent emergency intestinal surgery in July 2006. A spokesman at the United States Interests Section in Havana said that Representative Barbara Lee, Democrat of California, and two other members of the Congressional Black Caucus met with Mr. Castro.
