Beck using a flawed premise to make his case? No way… not the beck I know.
Congressman Ron Paul was on Glenn Beck radio today and Beck agreed on more than you might think… (or is it just me?) which is in the first half of audio.
The 2nd half of the audio is where Beck’s brilliance is really showcased… (I report – with bias – you decide).
In the first part…
Beck: “We Agree the Fed is Absolutely Just Evil … However, sometimes we go off the tracks and that’s why I wanted to talk to him (Ron Paul) today”
Beck: “would you say what I just about our view points is accurate?”
Dr. Paul: “It seems like You’ve nudged your way over a little bit closer to what I’ve been saying, so maybe you’ll come a little closer on these things we disagree on”
Beck: “Oh, I have… I am not a guy afraid to admit when I am wrong… I didn’t really understand the progressive movement up until I’d say two years ago I really started to get a handle on it”
Beck then plays some audio of Ron Paul talking CIA and they actually agree that the CIA is running the military operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan. (Really!…)

Here in the second half of the audio we find out where Glenn Beck really “goes off the rails” with Dr. Paul…
Beck: “I agree with the premise…”
Beck: “I think we should pound the bat snot out of anybody who… you come over to our shores, you do something to us… we crush you. then we leave, we don’t rebuild you, we don’t even… we crush you and then we leave”
Dr. Paul: “The big question there is who did the attacking and who are you going to crush?”
Beck interrupts and says “I’m not talking about anything specific, I’m talking about if somebody comes after us, they hit us, WE HAVE EVIDENCE… we CRUSH them and then we Leave”
Dr. Paul says he agrees that is if a missile left Cuba and hit NYC we both understand that we would. Beck then says yes and if it was just a cell and we HAVE EVIDENCE that Cuba (Government) was involved we would go after Cuba.
Ron Paul points out that the danger is with an event like the “underware bomber” and we start bombing Yemen because of it. Beck says unless we have evidence that the Yemen was involved.
Here is the Key: WHAT EVIDENCE do we have that the PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT is harboring terrorists and if they are NOT why do we “Bomb the bat snot out of them”?
If they ARE then Why do we GIVE THEM so much MONEY?

(Sidenote for those critically minded folks – “off the rails” is an inference that comes from Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train where he says “AAAHHLL AAABOOOAARD HAA HA HA HA HA AYE AYE AYE mental wounds still screaming driving me insane im goin off the rails on the crazy train” – one might use it in conversational hypnosis.)
