Ron Paul: We Are Repeating Failures of Great Depression

Congressman Ron Paul in his latest “Texas Straight Talk” (01/18/10) covers the “Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission” and it’s comparison to the “Pecora Commission” which was launched in 1932 to investigate to crash of 29.

Dr. Paul (a student of Austrian Economics) points out that the 1932 commission was embraced by lovers of big government and increased regulation. However, none of the new laws introduced by big government addressed the failed monetary policy as the core cause of the great depression.

Is the Commission on a mission to identify and correct the failures that caused a 2008 financial meltdown? Listen to who and what has been subpoenaed to get the “facts”…
